A member shall furnish high-quality materials in a well constructed by him unless authorized by the owner to use other materials of good quality.
A member shall provide competent workmen and equipment for drilling and developing every well and for the installation of pumps.
A drilling contractor should insist upon written specifications and a contract for each well that he drills. (We recommend this practice, but leave it up to the discretion of the driller.)
A member shall extend to the purchaser, factory guarantees on pumps and accessories sold and installed by him.
A member shall provide the purchaser with a written record showing the size and the depth of the well upon its completion.
A member shall carry compensation and general liability insurance as may be necessary for the protection of the well owner against liabilities for injuries or property damage occurring when the member is engaged in well-drilling or pump installation on the owner’s property, and resulting from the performance of such work.
A member shall prepare a log of each well, showing sizes of casing and other pertinent specifications. He shall make reasonable provisions for maintaining such records permanently.
A member shall acquaint himself with the laws and regulations governing the drilling of wells and installation of pumps at each location where he performs such work. He shall meet the requirements of such laws and regulations.
A member shall enter into no agreements which shall limit fair and bona-fide competition.
A member shall safeguard the well owner against any and all claims for labor and materials used in constructing a well or making a pump installation.
A member found guilty of violating this Code will be required by the Association to make suitable restitution to the well owner.
It shall be binding upon every member of this Association to conduct his business affairs so that no single action of his shall reflect unfavorably upon the Association.
