The Illinois Association of Groundwater Professionals is dedicated to the protection and effective use of groundwater in our state. Originally formed in 1928 as the Illinois Well Drillers Association, our organization later shortened its name to the Illinois Water Well Association.
In 1993 the name was again changed to its present form which better reflects our professional membership within the water well industry and our expended scope of service.
IAGP members include state-licensed water well and pump contractors; manufacturers and suppliers of water well equipment and services; state and local health department officials; and leaders of other agencies dedicated to the utilization and protection of Illinois groundwater.
IAGP is an affiliate member of the National Ground Water Association, American Ground Water Trust, Illinois Groundwater Association, and other environmental protection associations.
